Psychotherapy

Gentle, holistic, attachment-focused, and client-centered approaches to psychotherapy.
Integrative Body Psychotherapy with Emily Barrie, RP and Somatic-Informed Talk-Therapy with Becca Litvak, RP (Qualifying).

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and Integrative Somatic Therapist, offering trauma-informed and body-based therapy for people of all ages. I work with clients facing a wide variety of concerns, including trauma, loss/grief, depression/anxiety, disconnection from land and body, neurodivergence, and issues of identity and spirituality. My approach is client-centered, spiritually-integrated, justice-oriented and queer-affirming. I love to infuse therapy with creative, nature-based and somatic (body-oriented) approaches. My goal is to create a soft place for you to bring what feels too big to carry alone. I am honoured to hear and hold your stories with you, and look forward to our work together.

As humans, I believe we all have such a deep capacity to grow, learn, and move through challenges. At the same time, it can be overwhelming when we feel lost and alone in our pain, or stuck in trying to be who we think we “should” be. As a therapist, I aim to build a safe and gentle space for folks to land and bring their whole, messy, authentic self. I’m here to meet you where you’re at and walk alongside you wherever your journey happens to take you. I really honor that you ultimately know yourself best. I aim to provide a supportive environment to build resiliency, encouraging you to nurture your own inner resources and to build trust and connection within yourself. I know how important it is to connect with a therapist, and I hope to create a collaborative space to explore and approach your growth edges with curiosity, non-judgement, and kindness. I strive to create a space where everyone of diverse cultural backgrounds, sexualities, gender identities, and religious beliefs feel welcomed, embraced, and supported. With this principle as a guiding force, I acknowledge that I am still and will always be learning how to best serve folks who may have their own unique life experiences that differ from mine. I take an eclectic, client-centred, and trauma-informed approach, drawing from mindfulness and somatics, DBT, narrative approaches, internal family systems, existentialism, and expressive arts. In my spare time, I enjoy writing music and jamming on the guitar! I have a passion for creation of all types, and find myself cycling between visual arts, music, circus arts/juggling, and my love of dance and movement. I can also be found adventuring in nature, squirrel watching, and hugging a tree or two!
